Santiam River Basin Restoration Project Manager and Technician Positions

Job Close Date:
July 15, 2016 - 4:00pm

Join a dynamic team of dedicated professionals in the Santiam River Basin, working to improve stream and river corridors for water quality, fish and wildlife, and local communities.

About North and South Santiam Watershed Councils
For more than fifteen years, the North and South Santiam Watershed Councils have motivated local landowners, agencies, and funders to plan and implement restoration in their sub-basins to improve watershed health. Over the last seven years, we have been part of an award-winning cohort of watershed groups delivering restoration as part of the Meyer Memorial Trust’s Willamette River Initiative and BEF’s Willamette Model Watershed Program. These programs assist us with accelerating the pace and scale of our restoration activities throughout the Basin. We have enjoyed unprecedented success and are reaching to even higher heights now and into the future.

Positions Overview
The North and South Santiam Watershed Councils, in partnership with Cascade Pacific Resource Conservation + Development (CPRCD), are offering two positions to join our dynamic team. The Project Manager will generally be responsible for project development, grant writing, budget tracking and implementation. The Project Technician will help steward already funded and installed projects to success, provide GIS support, and conduct monitoring over time. Both positions will work closely with each other and the Council Coordinators as a team, to help the Councils and our restoration projects thrive. Please see the detailed description of each position to determine which one aligns with your skills and interests.

Employment Arrangement and Benefits
Both positions will be employed through CPRCD, and directly supervised by the North Santiam Council Coordinator (who is also an employee of CPRCD). We work as a team to implement and steward projects, and will utilize the new positions to cover activities throughout the Basin with our combined funding availability.
