Natural Resource Specialist 4 (Conservation Outcomes Coordinator)

This full-time, limited duration position is with the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board in Sale. The position is funded through June 30, 2017

The Conservation Outcomes Coordinator leads OWEB's involvement with other state and federal agencies implementing a strategic approach related to monitoring outcomes resulting from OWEB's investments and other water quality-related actions (both regulatory and non-regulatory) in Oregon. The position coordinates the agency's involvement in the Clean Water Partnership (CWP), a Governor's Office initiative that focuses on agricultural water quality with the intent of improving information gathering, monitoring, analysis, quantification and reporting on ecological and socio-economic outcomes resulting from Oregon natural resource programs. The position works with agencies, local stakeholders and other relevant groups to coordinate monitoring, data analysis and management, and ecosystem evaluation methods; develop metrics to track conservation outcomes; and report results at landscape and statewide scales. The position also manages grants and contracts tied to the Clean Water Partnership and associated monitoring. The Conservation Outcomes Coordinator consults regularly with the Deputy Director/Technical Services Program Manager about day-to-day implementation and assists with policy development, as requested.
