Pacific Northwest Chapter - Society for Freshwater Science Meeting November 3-5, 2015

The Pacific Northwest Chapter of SFS will be meeting in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on November 3-5, 2015. The meeting will begin promptly at 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 3rd and end at noon on Thursday November 5th. We will be meeting at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. There is no registration fee and you do not need to be a member of SFS to attend (although we do encourage it!).

The agenda is under development. Below is a list of potential agenda topics. Please contact me if you would like to make a presentation.
• Using Algae (soft algae and Diatoms) in bioassessment - algal/nutrient relationships in the PNW

• Integrated monitoring

• Autecological studies

• Using invertebrate information beyond the “indices”

• Bioassessment using the Drift. What energetics tells us about the ‘health’ of a watershed.

• Novel habitats and assessing condition: tools and applications

• Habitat restoration monitoring

• eDNA studies

• Landscape assessments

• Temperature indicator organisms

There is a block of rooms reserved and you must make your own reservations. Reservations can be made through The Coeur d’Alene's Reservation Department at 855-999-7998 and block code id: FRESHWATER. All reservations must be accompanied by first night's deposit. You will need to make reservations by October 5, 2015 to receive the group rate.
