Post-doctoral opportunity in fish modeling

US Environmental Protection Agency Corvallis, OR

EPA has developed a spatially-explicit fish population model that incorporates movement, competition and predation among species responding to habitat conditions within stream networks. Bringing skills in simulation modeling, programming, and spatial analysis, this position will finalize the validation and release of the modeling framework. Special emphasis will be placed on linking fish and watershed/water quality models.

PhD in ecological modeling, fisheries science, or related field. Knowledge of ecological modeling and the ability to integrate spatially-explicit, landscape-based watershed and ecological models and datasets is essential. Experience using a high-level object-oriented programming language is desired.
