Professional III - Watershed Division Project Leader - Nez Perce Tribe

The Department of Fisheries Resource Management-Watershed is recruiting for: PROFESSIONAL III - WATERSHED DIVISION PROJECT LEADER HR-14-125 regular full-time position. Will join a highly professional and experienced team and be responsible for promoting, implementing, and advancing a ridge-top to ridge-top watershed/aquatic ecosystem restoration, protection and monitoring effort that is critical for fisheries restoration, Nez Perce Tribal treaty resources, and all people. Project area/watershed(s) include the Nez Perce Tribe’s Northeast Oregon and Southeast Washington Treaty Territory and position will be stationed in Joseph, Oregon. The position will develop, update, and implement short and longer term goals and strategies and be responsible for seeking grants and managing contracts, statement of works, and budgets. Knowledge and experience with watershed data analysis and interpretation, projects planning and design, implementation, and associated monitoring is required. Position requires a high level of coordination with private, local, state, federal and tribal entities. Applicant must be highly motivated and have excellent communications skills, both oral and written, and report writing. Position requires Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in field to include watershed sciences, fisheries biology/resources, ecology, wildlife, engineering, hydrology, natural resources, or other closely related field. Requires three (3) years of professional level experience (one (1) year experience with Master’s degree), and two (2) years supervisory experience. Requires a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured under the Tribe’s Policy. (If your driver’s license is not issued from Idaho; a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the state your driver’s license is issued, is required with your application.) This position closes 4/11/14.
