The Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission assists four tribes in the co-management of their treaty fishing rights within the Columbia River Basin. A key to ensuring our member tribes have a sustainable fishery is the ability to collect and assess information on the status of anadromous and resident fish populations and their habitats within the Columbia River Basin. They are adverting for three seasonal positions and one permanent fisheries Biologist position associated with the Fish Science Department’s Habitat Group. This group assists CRITFC and the four treaty tribes with collection and analysis of data pertaining to stream habitat conditions, habitat restoration, and stream ecology.

The fishery biologist will be based in Portland with frequent travel to La Grande in the summer. The 3 seasonal technicians will be based in La Grande with travel provided to/from Portland during weekends if needed, and housing is provided in La Grande during the summer field season.
