The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Fisheries Resource Management-Research is recruiting for: PROFESSIONAL II/RESEARCH FISHERIES BIOLOGIST II HR-13-127 full-time position. Assist with monitoring & evaluation of the Nez Perce Tribal Hatchery, a spring Chinook salmon supplementation project. This position will be stationed in Orofino, Idaho. Knowledge and experience with the supervision of field crews, rotary screw traps, PIT tagging operation, statistics, fish population dynamics, mark-recapture survival models, spawning ground surveys, fish sampling techniques and fish age, growth studies, and coded wire tags. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, report writing, data analysis and interpretation is required. Requires a B.S. degree in fisheries research or closely related field, three (3) years of related experience with one (1) year of supervision, or an MS in fisheries research with one (1) year experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience. “Please include cover letter, college transcripts, and resume along with your NPT application.” Requires a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured under the Tribe’s policy.
