Nez Perce Tribe seeks WATERSHED RESTORATION SPECIALIST I HR-13-146 (Grade 17) AND WATERSHED RESTORATION SPECIALIST II HR-13-147

The Department of Fisheries Resource Management-Watershed is recruiting for seasonal positions to include: WATERSHED RESTORATION SPECIALIST I HR-13-146 (Grade 17) AND WATERSHED RESTORATION SPECIALIST II HR-13-147 (Grade 19) that will be stationed in Sweetwater, Idaho. Will be responsible for aspects of watershed/aquatic ecosystem protection and restoration projects. Project duties may include assessments, surveys, fish passage, riparian/stream restoration, reducing sediment from road sources, agricultural BMP’s, and monitoring and evaluation. Activities include both field and office duties to include: surveys, data collection/analysis, GIS, project design/cost-estimates, permitting, contracting, project implementation, and report writing. Positions requires coordination with private local state, federal, and tribal entities. Applicants must be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, possess experience in GIS, and report writing. Both positions require Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in field to include watershed sciences, fisheries biology/resources, ecology, wildlife, engineering, hydrology, natural resources, or closely related field Watershed Restoration Specialist II requires three (3) years of professional level experience (one year experience with Master’s degree), and one (1) year supervisory experience required. Requires a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured under the Tribe’s policy. The positions close 7/16/13.
