RFQQ: Status and Trends Monitoring For Watershed Health and Salmon Recovery in Washington State for the Period 2013-2016

Request for Qualifications and Quotation (RFQQ) ECY 1329 EAP titled:
Status and Trends Monitoring For Watershed Health and Salmon Recovery in Washington State for the Period 2013-2016

This is a request for bids to perform 4-years of monitoring across 350 rivers and streams of the state as part of the project called Status and Trends Monitoring For Watershed Health and Salmon Recovery (WHSR). The work includes tasks related to annual field preparation including reconnaissance and permission gathering. It also includes field sampling for physical habitat, chemistry and biology, using WHSR protocols.

WHSR is a monitoring program designed to make periodic assessments of stream and river habitat conditions at multiple regional scales. The information gained helps to answer questions about whether broad-scale efforts at restoring habitat have been effective relative to goals of the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species Act. WHSR monitoring makes assessments statewide, using randomly selected sites, and a rotating panel among 7 Status and Trends Regions. WHSR details, including protocols, site locations, and data, can be found here: www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/eap/stsmf .
