Release of 2011 Aquatic Invasive Species Report for Washington, Oregon, and Northwestern California

The Aquatic and Riparian Effectiveness Monitoring Program has just released the invasive species report for the 2011 field season. The Program participants include the USDA Forest Service Pacific Northwest Regional Office and the Bureau of Land Management Oregon State Office.

No aquatic invasive species were found at 22 of the 29 6th-field watersheds surveyed in the Northwest Forest Plan area. Most of the aquatic invasives found were plants, although a ringed crayfish was found in the Bear Creek watershed, Medford BLM.
