Draft July Agenda

1. Introductions

2. Presentation of work group participants' data visualization projects.

I'm happy to announce this month's presenter: John Arterburn, of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. John's presentation will primarily focus on the Habitat status and trend results for the Methow: These are the most highly valued of our reporting indicators. If time allows, we can cruise through the Fish data results on the Okanogan Monitoring website:

  • Who is the primary audience? Is it tiered for multiple audiences?
  • What data are presented or represented?
  • Are data and the resulting visualization accessible for download? For example, as a shapefile set or spreadsheet, or the visualization as graphs or maps with data.
  • Lessons learned. What would you do differently, or are you doing to improve?
  • What resources were necessary to get to your current status? What additional resources do you anticipate needing?

3. Next steps
Learn a) what others are doing; more presentations b) what data visualization tools are available (with pros-cons reviews?)

Discuss meeting format briefly. Every six or eight weeks was suggested.

Action Items - participation to add resources, suggest presenters!

If you cannot attend or you have ideas you wanted to discuss in the meeting, please send them to me to add to the agenda. As always, if you would like to invite any other interested people, email me ( with their contact information so I can add them to the work group.
