Regional indicators are used to communicate information about the status and trends of biological and environmental conditions across broad geographic scales. Because of increasing interest for improved regional indicator reporting, PNAMP is bringing together scientists and policy professionals to develop recommendations for how to better utilize information that is already being collected across the Pacific Northwest.

To date, project participants have identified management questions and indicators of common interest related to flow, macroinvertebrates, water temperature, and water quality index. At the March 22nd workshop, we will review the results of the recent metadata survey and develop recommendations for how to improve data accessibility and compatibility for the selected indicators.
