River Restoration Northwest is pleased to offer:

River Hydraulics and Sediment Dynamics Workshop
Cheatham Hall, World Forestry Center in Portland, OR.
October 16-20, 2017

Part 1:
Hydraulics Analysis using HEC-RAS 2D (3-day workshop, Oct 16-18)

Instructor: Chris Goodell, WEST Consultants

Course fee: $825

The Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) has been updated to include two-dimensional modeling capabilities. This intensive 3-day workshop will introduce the experienced HEC-RAS user to these new 2-D capabilities.

Part 2:
River Sediment Dynamics (2-day workshop, Oct 19-20)

Instructor: Dr. Colin Thorne, University of Nottingham

Course fee: $550

This two-day short course covers the fluvial processes responsible for erosion, transport and deposition of sediment within rivers, providing a fundamental understanding of how sediment dynamics drive channel formation, adjustment and evolution.
