Nez Perce Department of Fisheries Resource Management-Watershed Division is recruiting for a: WATERSHED RESTORATION SPECIALIST I HR-18- 131. This is a full-time seasonal position based out of McCall, ID. This position will join a professional and experienced team working on restoring and protecting aquatic ecosystems and watersheds critically important to fisheries restoration, Nez Perce Tribal treaty resources, and all people.

These positions will participate in all aspects of watershed/aquatic ecosystem protection and restoration projects that include data collection/GIS analysis, project implementation and monitoring and evaluation. Field duties include leading field work logistics/planning/ supervising field crews. Typical projects include restoring fish passage, stream/riparian/floodplain restoration, reducing road related sedimentation, and invasive weed control. Position requires coordination with private, local, state, federal, and tribal entities. Applicant must be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

The Watershed Restoration Specialist I requires a Bachelor’s degree in the field of watershed sciences, fisheries biology/resources, hydrology, natural resources, or other closely related field. This position requires a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured under the Tribe’s Policy. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the state your driver’s license is issued is required with your application. Tribal preference applies.
