The PNAMP Protocol Library is intended to be a database-driven web application designed to serve as a catalog of monitoring protocols. Protocol Library describes methods, by providing abstracts and citations for reference documents describing data collection procedures, and specifically defines the data elements (attributes) that represent habitat and biological variables.
Protocol Library will offer a collection of protocols specific to the Pacific Northwest aquatic monitoring community. The options and features of this site will allow non-registered users to search and explore protocols and their associated methods, attributes, references, and descriptive information. The current version of the site as of 11/3/2009, is based on an effort to web-enable a desktop application and database called Protocol Manager, developed by Spatial Dynamics, Inc. for the National Park Service.
